* January 25, 2026, Punk Rock Flea Market at Geno’s Rock Club Portland, ME

The Punk Rock Flea Market is a new–new for me–local Maine event I connected with for the first time in January 2026, and it is packed with so many talented local artists, and vendors of all sorts. I plan to take part in many more Punk Rock Fleas, beginning in July 2026. Stay tuned for more punk-art news from Portland, Maine’s legendary dive bar & rock club, Geno’s.

Book Tour Appearances for Try Not to Die By Your Own Hand

Two book tour events did not make it onto the Book Tour flyer, for no other reason than my lack of time to create a new graphic after the events were scheduled. Yeah, imagine that–indie authors do all their own marketing and promotions, including making all promo & advertisement materials. Lucky us.

The two events not listed on the flyer: 1.) Grownup Halloween Story Time at Quiet City Books in Lewiston on Oct. 8, 2025, and 2.) Reading & Q & A at Baxter Memorial Library in Gorham, Maine, in conversation with Carrie Swarthout, the Director of Maine’s Mobile Crisis Line (MCL) run through The Opportunity Alliance of Portland, Maine.

Here are some highlights:

Sept. 11, 2025: Book Launch Event at Novel Book, Bar, & Cafe in Portland, Maine, with discussion partner Carrie Swarthout of MCL & TOA

Sept. 13, 2025: Spooktastic Book Fair @ Framingham Library in Framingham, MA

My first appearance at the Spooktastic Book Fair at Framingham Public Library in Framingham, MA was a blast. I am honored and thankful to Allyssa Alessi, the incredible organizer, for inviting me to not only be an author vendor, but also for inviting me to participate in the Punk-Drunk-Horror music & horror panel. Fun times!

My wicked cool table mate, Jeniffer Anne Gordon, and our super friendly table neighbor, Jamal Hodge. First time I met them both, and they are wonderful people. And if I’m being honest, listening to Jamal talk to and promote his work to prospective readers was quite inspiring. I learned a lot by watching him in action.

My good friend Michael Burke! We met in 2019 at the Merrimack Halloween Book Festival at Haverhill Public Library in MA, me as a reader-customer and him as an event volunteer. And then we had our first author vendor experience together at MVHBF in 20222 and were table mates. We’ve been friends ever since. Such a great guy!

This is me with John Garrigan, librarian and co-organizer, of the 2024 & 2025 Spooktastic Book Fair. John’s a big supporter and avid reader of dark fiction. And he’s so kind to have invited me back to Framingham Public Library, this time for his new book fair, Dark Summers, with its first date planned for August 8, 2026.

Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM: Barnes & Noble Book Talk & Signing, with discussion partner Carrie Swarthout of MCL

Thurs., Oct. 9, 2025, at 6:30 PM: Halloween Grownup Story Time at Quiet City Books in Lewiston, Maine

Though Try Not to Die By Your Own Hand is my newest book release, the story doesn’t fit a Halloween scary story event, so I read from my second book, Chisel the Bone, which is always a scary hit with audiences.

Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025: Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival

This was my fourth consecutive year as an author vendor at the MVHBF. Hoping to make 2026 my 5th appearance.

It’s always great seeing Paul Tremblay, but it was extra special this time because I was able to thank him in person for reading and writing an amazing and thoughtful blurb for my third novel, Try Not to Die By Your Own Hand.

More shenanigans from MVHBF:

The “Throwing Horns” crew

Me with two of my favorite New England Horror Writers Steve Van Samon and Cat Scully.

Me with my tablemate for the 2nd year in a row, horror artist Ogmios. It’s always great sharing a table with Og because we not only have our love of horror to talk about, but we’re also both musicians who love metal.

Me with one of my favorite Maine horror writers, Katherine “Kat” Silva. I learn a lot about the business from this powerhouse horror author and publisher.

Me with two more of my favorite New England Horror Writers, Michael Burke and Trisha Wooldridge.

* Interview with Coffee Fueled Stories, Sept. 10, 2025:

World Suicide Prevention Day & the Release Try Not to Die By Your own Hand

This is the second interview I’ve done with Michelle of Coffee Fueled Stories, and it is always a blast chatting with her. You can find this interview on my Instagram page here.

* Interview with Win’s Literary Lounge, Sept. 9, 2025

My interview with Winnie Tataw of Win’s Literary Lounge was an Instagram Live Event, but it is available for replay here .

* Interview with Horror Geek Dungeon 8-28-2025

The interview I had with Horror Geek Dungeon had technical difficulties on my end, so the interview, even though it appears on YouTube, is only audio. To any potential interviewers reading this, I have since solved my internet connection trouble, which puts me in the clear to schedule more video interviews.

StokerCon 2025

Not only did I finally get to attend my first StokerCon this year, but I was also picked as a guest author to take part in the wicked fun panel, Runnin’ With the Devil, moderated by the always fabulous Gwendolyn Kiste. A panel about horror writing & music, two of my favorite subjects. Such a blast! The talented author in the discussion includes Philip Fracassi, David Simms, Sara Tantlinger, Douglas Gwilym, Michael Allen Rose, and Nat Cassidy. What a fun crew of creators to chat horror & music with. I am honored and blessed to have been able to take part in this amazing event–hell any event, seeing as it waas my first time at StokerCon.

I also snagged a bunch of books and pics with talented authors I admire.

Who knows when this poor writer girl will get to another StokerCon, but the 2025 StokerCon lives in my mind always.

Until next time–Cheers!
